Lee's Summit sits southeast of downtown Kansas City, with solid highway access via US-50, I-470, and I-70 tying you into the rest of the metro. A commute to downtown KC is very doable, and you're well-positioned for the eastern and southern job centers.
The honest caveat: because it's on the southeast side, the further-flung parts of the metro — the Kansas-side corporate corridor in Overland Park, or the Northland and the airport up north — are a longer haul. Who Lee's Summit Is Really For
